Team Danos Awarded for Safety Leadership

Danos & Curole was recently awarded Chevron Pipe Line Company's 2009 Health, Environment & Safety Leadership Commitment Award. This award was presented during CPL's Contractor Regional Engagement meeting in Covington last week and accepted on behalf of Danos & Curole by Mike Bradshaw (HSE Safety Director) and Jeremy Adkins (Project Coordinator) who were in attendance at the meeting.

During 2009, most of the work Danos & Curole executed for CPL was by the Coatings Division who, in their first full year of operations, worked the entire year without a single recordable injury.

The criteria for this award are as follows:

  • Overall TRIR of less than 1.0
  • CPL TRIR less than annual goal of 0.60
  • No reported spills
  • Greater than 3,000 work hours
  • Zero CPL motor vehicle crashes
  • Zero CPL incidents other than first aids
  • Contractor Health and Safety Management system rating of ‘B’ or higher
